Scouting the Broncos
Western Michigan is coming off a heartbreaking 73-71 loss at Kent State on a last-second shot Tuesday. The Broncos sit at 11-7 overall and 3-2 in the Mid-American Conference. Despite the loss, WMU has won five of its last seven contests and have won three straight at home.
Protecting the Ball
WMU is one of the best teams in the nation in protecting the ball as the Broncos rank 33
rd in the NCAA in fewest turnovers. The Broncos have just 205 turnovers in 18 games this season.
Home Sweet Home
Under head coach
Steve Hawkins, University Arena has been one of the toughest places to play in the MAC as the Broncos have a 98-26 record under Hawkins in home MAC games.

This will be the first ESPNU game inside University Arena since 2011 when the Broncos defeated Illinois State.

The upperclassmen have led the Bronco offense so far this season, accounting for 64 percent of the team's total points.
Scouting Buffalo
Buffalo heads into Friday's contest riding a six-game win streak and has an overall record of 13-5 and 5-0 in MAC play. Buffalo is the only undefeated team left in the conference and has been winning by an average of 7.4 points per game. The Bulls are ranked 19
th in the latest College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 poll.
The Bulls have four players averaging in double figures, led by CJ Massinburg at 18.6 points per game, which ranks second in the MAC. Massinburg also leads Buffalo in rebounding at 8.1 per game.
