NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship Trophy to Visit Kalamazoo Friday

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The NCAA Men's Basketball National Championship trophy is set to make a visit to Kalamazoo on Friday, Jan.19 when Western Michigan men's basketball hosts Buffalo on ESPNU inside University Arena.

As part of a nationwide tour, the NCAA men's basketball national championship trophy makes a stop inside University Arena for the Mid-American Conference showdown between the Broncos and the Bulls. This past weekend, the trophy was in East Lansing at the Breslin Center as former No.1 Michigan State played in-state rival Michigan.

Fans will have the opportunity to interact and take a photo with the national championship trophy prior to the game. Tickets start as low as $12 and can be purchased at the
Bronco Ticket Office, online at wmubroncos.com/tickets or by calling 1-888-4-WMU-Tix.

The battle between WMU and Buffalo on ESPNU is the first ESPNU game inside University Arena since 2011 when the Broncos defeated Illinois State. The Broncos were the preseason pick to win the MAC West while Buffalo was picked to win the MAC East.

Both teams are off to strong starts in conference play as WMU is 3-1 in the MAC while Buffalo remains the only undefeated team in the conference at 4-0.
