WELCOME HOME
Western Michigan returns home for the final week of the regular season, beginning on Tuesday night as Miami comes to town.

MAC TOURNAMENT SCENARIO
With the loss to Akron and the other results around the league on Saturday, Western Michigan needs to win its final two regular season games to keep its MAC Tournament chances alive. In addition to winning its last two, WMU needs Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan and Miami to lose out, and have Bowling Green beat EMU on Tuesday, but lose its final game on Friday. This scenario would create a five-way tie for eighth, which the Broncos would win due to having the best record against all of the tied teams.

LAST TIME OUT
The Broncos are coming off of an 81-64 loss at Akron on Saturday night in their final road game of the regular season. Seth Hubbard led the Broncos with 19 points, while Lamar Norman Jr. (17) and Tray Maddox Jr. (11) were also in double-figures for WMU.

DIALING LONG DISTANCE
WMU attempted a new single-game program record 39 three-pointers on Saturday at Akron, surpassing the old record of 35 which was set back in December of 2019. The Broncos hit 12 from long range against the Zips, one shy of their season high.

WMU VS MIAMI
Western Michigan and Miami meet for the 138th time on Tuesday night. The RedHawks own an 87-50 lead in the all-time series, including an 85-78 victory in Oxford back on Feb. 7, and are looking for their third straight season sweep of the Broncos. WMU holds a 37-29 mark against Miami in Kalamazoo.

WHEN LAST WE MET
The RedHawks knocked off the Broncos, 85-78, in Oxford back on Feb. 7, their fifth straight win in the series. Freshman Seth Hubbard led WMU with a career-high 20 points on the night, while Titus Wright had 17 points and nine rebounds. Lamar Norman Jr. also added 12 to become the 45th 1,000-point scorer in WMU program history.

CLEANING THE GLASS
After ranking near the bottom of the MAC in rebounding a season ago, Western Michigan has turned things around to lead the league in rebounding margin (+4.3) and offensive rebounding (12.1), as well as rank third in the MAC in overall rebounding (36.8). Nationally, the Broncos are 34th in offensive rebounding and 50th in rebounding margin.

MAKING HIS MARK
Markeese Hastings ranks second in the MAC in both total rebounds (268, 29th nationally) and defensive rebounds per game (6.5, 35th), and is third in the conference in rebounds per game (9.2, 28th nationally). The Grand Rapids, Mich., native owns 15 double-digit rebounding performances this season, second-most in the league, and is fourth in the conference with seven double-doubles.

SCORIN' NORMAN
Lamar Norman Jr. notched 17 points on Saturday night at Akron, making it 54 double-digit scoring efforts in his 58 career games as a Bronco. Norman has led the team in scoring 40 times during his two seasons in the Brown & Gold, and is currently fourth in the MAC in scoring at 17.6 points per game.

LONG RANGE LAMAR
Lamar Norman Jr. is second in the MAC with 80 made triples (48th nationally) and third in made three's per game (2.9, 37th).

HOT-HAND HUBBARD
Freshman guard Seth Hubbard has been hot lately, especially from behind the three-point line. In WMU's last seven games, he has hit 16-of-27 (.593) from downtown and averaged 11.7 points. For the season, Hubbard is shooting 42.9 percent on three-pointers, the sixth-best mark in the conference. In league play, he has hit 46.3 percent of his threes, fourth-best in the MAC.

388 AND COUNTING
WMU has made at least one three-pointer in 388 straight games dating back to 2011.

HALFTIME LEADS TURN INTO W'S
The Broncos own a 55-21 record over the last five seasons when leading at halftime, including a 6-1 mark this season.
