Lamar Norman Jr. netted a game-high 30 points for WMU, his third 30+ point game of the season.

Markeese Hastings (10) were also in double-figures for Western Michigan. Hastings also collected 10 rebounds to secure his third double-double.
DOUBLE TROUBLE
Markeese Hastings netted 10 points and collected 10 rebounds in WMU's loss at Ohio. The double-double was the third of the season for Hastings, and fourth overall by a Bronco in 2021-22. The lone other double-double for Western Michigan this season came on Dec. 17 against Aquinas, when 
Mack Smith had 14 points and 10 boards.

Tuesday's game is slated to be the 136th all-time meeting between WMU and Miami. The RedHawks own an 85-50 lead in the series, including a 70-62 victory in Kalamazoo earlier this season. The Broncos are just 12-52 all-time in Oxford, but have won seven of their last eight visits to Millett Hall.

Back on Jan. 15 at University Arena, Miami defeated Western Michigan 70-62, pulling ahead late in what was a back-and-forth affair throughout. 
Lamar Norman Jr. had a game-high 26 points for the Broncos, while a balanced RedHawks' attack saw four diffrent players score in double-figures. 
SCOUTING THE REDHAWKS
Miami enters Tuesday's game on a five-game slide, including a pair of losses to Akron over the weekend. Three RedHawks are averaging double-digit points, led by Dae Dae Grant, who's 16.4 points per game rank seventh in the MAC. As a team, Miami as atop the conference in both free throw percentage (.783) and threes (9.0/game).
SCORIN' NORMAN
After his 30-point performance on Saturday, Western Michigan junior 
Lamar Norman Jr. sits atop the MAC at 20.2 points per game, and leads the conference in league play at 21.6 points per contest. His performance on Saturday also extended his streak of double-digit scoring games to 20 in a row. Norman is the only player in the conference to have three 30+ point games, and his 12 games of 20+ points rank second in the conference. The Grand Rapids, Mich., native leads the league with 3.4 made threes per game. 
MAKING HIS MARK

Markeese Hastings ranks in the top-10 of the MAC in several categories as well, including rebounding (2nd, 8.9), offensive rebounding (3rd, 3.3), defensive rebounding (3rd, 5.6) and field goal percentage (8th, .503). In MAC play, Hastings is leading the conference at 10.6 rebounds per game, and his 18 rebounds at Toledo on Dec. 29 remains the highest single-game total by a MAC player this season.

Norman ranks 17th nationally in points per game (20.2), 17th in total points (445), 23rd in made field goals (159), 12th in made threes per game (3.4) and 11th in total threes made (75). Hastings sits 33rd in rebounds per game (8.9), 27th in total rebounds (204) and 27th in offensive rebounds per game (3.3).

Coming into Tuesday's game against Miami, WMU senior guard 
Mack Smith sits on 1496 career points, four shy of 1500. The Eastern Illinois transfer is currently 103rd on the NCAA DI active scoring leaders list.
