Broncos Begin Second Half of MAC Play Saturday at Ball State

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Beginning the second half of Mid-American Conference play the Western Michigan men's basketball team travels to Muncie, Ind. for a match-up with MAC West foe Ball State on Saturday, Feb. 9.

Scouting the Broncos
Heading into the second half of MAC play the Broncos have an overall record of 6-16 and are 0-9 in conference play. The Broncos are coming off an 85-72 loss to Bowling Green on Tuesday. WMU is led by the trio of sophomore Michael Flowers and seniors Josh Davis and Seth Dugan who have accounted for 60.6 percent of the team's total offense this season.

Score Like Mike
Flowers has been a constant scoring threat for the Broncos this season ranking seventh in the MAC at 16.5 points per game. Flowers leads the conference among "true" underclassmen in scoring. The Southfield, Mich., native has had 10 20-point games this season.

Double-Double Dugan
Senior Seth Dugan has nine double-doubles this which ranks second in the MAC and 31st in the NCAA. Dugan against Bowling Green earned his second double-double in four games with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

1,000 is in Reach
With 10 guaranteed games left this season, senior Seth Dugan is just 184 points away from reaching 1,000. Dugan needs to register 18.4 points per game the final 10 games to reach the century mark.

Pat's All Folks
Freshman Patrick Emilien had a career-night against Bowling Green with a career-high 15 points and 9 rebounds. Emilien over the past three games is averaging 7.0 points and 6.3 rebounds while shooting 57.1 percent from the field.

In the second half of the MAC schedule, Western Michigan has a record of 29-16 since 2013.

Scouting the Opponent
Ball State has an overall record of 12-11 and 3-7 in MAC play and is coming off a 72-71 victory at Northern Illinois on Tuesday. The Cardinals are led by senior guard Tayler Person who ranks sixth in the MAC at 17.0 points per game.
