First Half Notes

• Starting Five: Douglas, Ward, Hutcheson, Whitfield, Stainbrook
• Austin Richie scored his first collegiate bucket on a fast break lay-up at the 15:44 mark of the first half
• The Broncos began the game on a 15-6 run, and pushed the lead to double-digits when they made it 22-10.
• Nate Hutcheson made an acrobatic one-handed lay-up at the 9:28 mark, falling to the floor while lifting the ball. Hutcheson ended up with seven points in the half.
• The Broncos led by as many as 26 points at one point, with Demetrius Ward hitting a three-pointer that gave WMU a 41-15 lead at the 6:11 mark.
• Whitfield had a game-high 12 points and seven rebounds at the conclusion of the half.
• The Broncos shot 56.4 percent from the field in the first half, including 14 points off turnovers.
• The Broncos outscored the Hornets 14-0 off turnovers, and 14-4 on second chance points.

Second Half Notes

• Starting Five: Douglas, Ward, Hutcheson, Whitfield, Stainbrook
• Hayden Hoerdemann scored his first collegiate points at the 11:18 mark of the second half, hitting a jumper from the right wing to make it 77-38.
• Tim Brennan made his first collegiate shot with a jumper at the 2:33 mark of the second half.
• Flenard reached a double-double early in the second half with his tenth rebound of the game.
• The Broncos led by as many as 42 points in the second half, with the score 80-38.

Postgame Notes

• The Broncos defeated the Hornets 92-57, and will wrap up the exhibition season with a game against Northwood on Saturday.  Tip-off is 2 p.m.
• Four Broncos finished the game in double-digits in scoring: Whitfield (18), Nate Hutcheson (11), Matt Stainbrook (11), and Demetrius Ward (10)
• Both Shayne Whittington and Austin Richie scored eight points off the bench, leading the team in bench points.
• The Broncos outscored the Hornets 38-12 in bench points.
• Mike Douglas finished with a game-high seven assists and a sterling 7:2 assist - turnover ratio.
• WMU shot 53.5 percent from the field and outrebounded the Hornets 51-25.
