KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team is set to host Valparaiso on Sunday afternoon at the WMU Soccer Complex. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. ET.
LAST TIME OUT
Western Michigan earned a result against No. 12 Colorado, securing a 0-0 draw against the Buffaloes on Aug. 27 at the WMU Soccer Complex.
Reagan Sulaver notched her first shutout of the season, stopping all seven shots she saw.
HOME SWEET HOME
The Broncos have formed one of the best home field advantages in all of college soccer, owning a 24-2-4 record at the WMU Soccer Complex since the start of 2023.
Entering Sunday's match against Valparaiso, the Brown and Gold hold the longest active home unbeaten streak in NCAA Division I (21). That streak extends to 27 games if you only count regular season games.
Western Michigan hasn't lost a home regular season game since Sept. 3, 2023 against Wisconsin.
SUPER SULAVER
Now in her second season with the Broncos, goaltender
Reagan Sulaver has continued to build on her tremendous rookie campaign.
She concluded the 2025 season as the MAC's Freshman of the Year and earned Second Team All-MAC honors. To begin the 2026 season, Sulaver has been on top of her game, allowing just two goals in three games.
She holds a 0.67 goals against average and .875 save percentage to go along with 14 saves and one shutout. Sulaver has 11 clean sheets in just 24 games with the Brown and Gold.
SCOUTING THE BEACONS
Valpo is off to a 1-2-1 start in 2026, with its lone win coming against Western Illinois. The Beacons also have a draw against SIUE.
WMU leads the all-time series, 7-2, including a 4-1 record in Kalamazoo. Valpo hasn't beaten the Broncos since 2012.
Despite a slow start, the Beacons have a plethora of options on offense. Four players have at least four points, including Kiara Desiderio, who leads the way with two goals and an assist.
In net, Adria Schultz has seen the bulk of the work. In three starts, she owns a 1-1-1 record, 1.60 GAA and .714 save percentage. Salange Bell has played in two games, making one start. She holds a 0-1-0 record, 2.00 GAA and .700 save percentage.
