KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The LA Kings have signed forward
Grant Slukynsky to a one-year entry-level contract through the 2026-27 season.
The veteran forward served as an assistant captain for the Broncos in 2025-26, leading the Brown and Gold to a 27-win season and a fifth straight NCAA Tournament appearance. WMU was also a No. 1 seed for the third time in the last five years.
Slukynsky was a force in his two years with the Brown and Gold, ending his career with 76 points on 20 goals and 56 assists in 81 games. He won 593 total faceoffs and was +34 during his time in Kalamazoo.
He saved his best for last, scoring a career-high 40 points during his junior campaign. The Warroad, Minn. native had 10 goals and 30 assists to go along with 348 faceoff wins and a +15 rating. For his efforts, he was named to the All-NCHC Third Team, and he was a finalist for the NCHC's Sportsmanship Award.
Slukynsky's first season in Kalamazoo concluded with 36 points on 10 goals and 26 assists. He was +19 with 245 faceoffs won. With that, he helped win the program's first ever National Championships, Penrose Cup and NCHC Frozen Faceoff title.
He was a two-time NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete and was nominated for the Hobey Baker Award in 2025-26.
