KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan gymnastics team heads to Michigan State for a tri meet against the Spartans and Maryland on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The meet can be watched live on Big Ten Network Plus. 

The Broncos (8-4, 2-1 MAC) have posted season-best scores in each of its last two meets. Last weekend at Northern Illinois, WMU finished with a score of 195.575 to best NIU and West Virginia. Back on Feb. 1, the Broncos hosted Bowling Green, Greenville and UW-Eau Claire and topped all three with a score of 195.500. 

WMU was originally intended to go to Iowa State earlier this weekend, but the Cyclones canceled their season and the team changed its destination to MSU. 

The Broncos will be competing among the nation's best. The Spartans currently rank 11th in the nation, according to RoadToNationals.com with an average score of 196.690. The Terrapins rank 24th with an average of 195.775. With the past two performances, WMU has improved its average score to 194.625.

Western Michigan returns home next Sunday to host Ball State for its annual Alumni Meet at 1 p.m. Tickets are available at www.wmubroncos.com/tickets.
