KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan gymnastics program and head coach
Penny Jernigan have announced the hiring of Kevin Anderson to the position of assistant gymnastics coach.
Anderson returns to Western Michigan after previous stints as assistant coach and volunteer assistant coach.
"We are thrilled to welcome Kevin back to WMU," said Jernigan. "He played an integral role on our coaching staff when we won the MAC Championship back in 2020. He knows what it takes to develop a championship team and we can't wait to get started working with him again."
Anderson brings over 20 years experience in gymnastic coaching and judging. He has served as a men's gymnastics judge at bot the NCAA National Championship and the Big Ten Championship. While previously with the Broncos he worked with 10 individual NCAA Qualifiers and worked with the last three WMU all-around record holders.
