KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan gymnastics team heads to Bowling Green for the 2026 Mid-American Conference Championship Meet on Saturday at 2 p.m.

THE FIELD
WMU heads into Saturday's meet with the third-highest National Qualifying Score, according to RoadToNationals.com, at 195.078. The Broncos rank fourth, just .010 behind Kent State. Ball State is in second with a 195.236, while MAC Regular Season Champions Central Michigan are at the top at 195.544. CMU was the only team to beat Western Michigan in conference meets this season.Â
There is a significant gap between the closest team to the Broncos, with Eastern Michigan sitting fifth with a NQS of 193.833. The host Falcons and Northern Illinois round out the seven-team field.Â

THE BRONCOS
Vault - WMU's trio of Brook Gelesko,
Isabella Ciolfi and
Kennedy Cooper are all in the mix near he top of the NQS rankings on vault. Gelesko sits at 9.805 and has an average score of 9.773, putting her in striking distance of Kent State's Charlie Behner (NQS: 9.845, 9.825)Â
As a team, the Broncos rank fourth in NQS and average in the event.Â
Bars - Western Michigan ranks third in both NQS and average in bars, just .016 behind Kent State.
Reese Samuelson, who was named Second Team All-MAC in the event, is tied for fourth in NQS with a 9.855, but has the second-highest average in the conference at 9.808. Samuelson,
Julie Korfhage and
Kate Parks are all tied with the fourth-highest score in the conference on the season with 9.875s.Â
Beam - The Broncos also rank third on beam in NQS and average, but have the second-highes team score of the season, a 49.125.
Julie Korfhage and
Reese Samuelson have the highest NQS in the event at 9.795 for Korfage and 9.770 for Samuelson.
Isabella Ciolfi earned MAC All-Freshman Team honors in the event, with a NQS of 9.740.Â
Floor - WMU has a NQS of 48.883 on floor, ranking them fourth, but have the third-best average score of 48.838. Gelesko just edges out Korfhage for the fourth-highest NQS in the conference at 9.850. Galesko's average score of 9.807 is third in the conference.Â
Hannah Milton has also had a very strong season on floor, with a 9.815 NQS. Last week, sophomore
Kennedy Cooper and Ciolfi bost posted season and career-highs on floor. Cooper got a 9.900, while Ciolfi finished just behind her with a 9.875.Â
