KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team and head coach
Lewis Robinson are excited to announce the program's 2025 schedule. The Broncos are the defending MAC regular season and tournament champions.Â
The Brown and Gold will open the season with a pair of home exhibitions. First, Purdue Fort Wayne will be in town on Aug. 5 at 6 PM. The second exhibition will see WMU hosting Northwestern on Aug. 9 at 2 PM.Â
The regular season gets going with a pair of power five road matches. The Broncos will travel to Notre Dame on Aug. 14 and head to Iowa on Aug. 24. The regular season home opener is set for Aug. 28 against Creighton. That game will begin at 6 PM.Â
Following that, WMU will take on Michigan in Ann Arbor on Aug. 31. To close out the non-conference schedule, Western Michigan will host Detroit Mercy (Sept. 7) and DePaul (Sept. 13). The Broncos beat Detroit Mercy and tied DePaul last season.Â
The defending MAC champions open conference season with a pair of road tilts. The Broncos will travel to Miami (OH) on Sept. 18 and head to Bowling Green on Sept. 21. WMU then gets three straight games at home, beginning with Ohio on Sept. 25. From there, Toledo (Sept. 28) and UMass (Oct. 2) will head to The Farm.Â
Next on the schedule is Ball State. The Broncos and Cardinals will hit the pitch on Oct. 5. Following that, Northern Illinois will host the Brown and Gold on Oct. 9. WMU then closes out the regular season with three of the last five games in Kalamazoo.Â
Western Michigan sees Eastern Michigan come to town on Oct. 16 and then hosts Kent State on Oct. 19. After that, the Broncos will head to Akron for a game on Oct. 23. Then, a rivalry showdown in Kalamazoo, as Central Michigan heads to town on Oct. 26. The regular season concludes with a rematch of the MAC Tournament Championship, as WMU takes on Buffalo on Oct. 29. The Broncos beat the Bulls 5-0 in last year's title game.
The MAC Tournament will get going on Nov. 1 with the quarterfinal round being played at locations that are to be determined. The semifinal round is set for Nov. 4 and the championship will take place on Nov. 7. WMU won the MAC regular season title for the second straight season and hasn't lost a game in MAC play over the last two years. The Broncos won the MAC Tournament in 2024, outscoring their two opponents by a combined total of 9-1.Â
