KALAMAZOO, Mich -- Western Michigan's
Tessa Fagerson has been named the MAC Offensive Player of the Week.
The Junior forward earns the honors after a two-goal performance against Central Michigan this past Sunday. Early in the second half, Tessa would break the ice in the contest by netting her first goal in the 46th minute. Just 10 minutes later, a foul in the box gave Tessa an opportunity at a penalty kick, one in which she would score bottom left.Â
Tessa was also integral in generating chances on offense against Eastern Michigan, as she finished the week with five shots on goal across seven total shots.Â
Those two goals extended Fagerson's team lead to seven, and pushes her to second place in the conference in goals scored. With four assists on the season as well, Fagerson now leads the MAC in total points.
Fagerson and the Broncos look to continue their stretch of great play on Sunday, Oct. 25 against Miami.
