WMU Volleyball Unveils 2025 MAC Schedule

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – In conjunction with the rest of the Mid-American Conference, the Western Michigan volleyball team announced its 2025 league schedule on Wednesday.

Each team will once again play 18 conference matches, nine home and nine away. The Broncos are set to face four teams once (Ball State, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan and Miami), and the remaining seven teams twice.

Western Michigan starts out the MAC schedule at home for the second straight season, opening league play on Sept. 25 against Eastern Michigan, with Central Michigan coming in the next night to wrap up the first conference weekend. The Broncos have won 19 of 20 home matches against MAC opponents over the last two seasons.

WMU begins its MAC road slate with a trip to Miami on Oct. 2, then visits Ball State on Oct. 3 in a rematch of last year's MAC Tournament Championship match. The Broncos swept the Cardinals to claim their second consecutive MAC Tournament title. Western Michigan closes out the trip at Northern Illinois on Oct. 7.

The Brown and Gold are back at University Arena from Oct. 9-10 to face Akron. Western Michigan hits the road the following weekend for a two-match series at Buffalo (Oct. 17-18).

The Broncos then return to Kalamazoo for a three-match homestand, with Bowling Green coming to town on Oct. 24-25, and Northern Illinois on Oct. 28. WMU then heads to Toledo from Oct. 31-Nov. 1.

Western Michigan wraps up its home schedule the weekend of Nov. 7-8 against Kent State, then closes out the regular season at Ohio from Nov. 14-15.

The 2025 Mid-American Conference Championship will once again be a six-team tournament. It will be hosted by Bowling Green from Nov. 21-23.
