KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan volleyball team and head coach Colleen Munson have announced the return of all-time assists leader Logan Case to the program as its new assistant coach.

"Logan's accolades on the court speak for themselves, but it was her leadership and volleyball IQ that set her apart. We're thrilled to have Logan join our coaching staff and share her knowledge, insight and experience with our team!"
 
One of the most decorated volleyball players in both Western Michigan and Mid-American Conference history, Case racked up 6,476 career assists, becoming WMU and the MAC's all-time leader. Her career total also ranked as the fifth-most in NCAA Division I history. In addition to assists, Case ended her time in the Brown and Gold as the career leader in assists per set (11.86), matches played (150), sets played (546) and assists & digs double-doubles (59). She also totaled 1,336 career digs, the ninth-most in program history.
 
Over the course of her career, Case was a five-time First Team All-MAC selection, a four-time All-Region honoree, three-time MAC Setter of the Year and was named the 2020 MAC Freshman of the Year. In 2023, the Maineville, Ohio, native helped the Broncos go a perfect 18-0 in conference play to capture Western Michigan's first MAC regular season title since 2008. She led the nation in total assists that year on the way to being voted the MAC Player of the Year and becoming one of eight Broncos to ever be named an All-American. Case was also a two-time MAC Tournament MVP, helping the Broncos capture back-to-back MAC Tournament titles in 2023 and 2024 and make a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances.
 
A star in the classroom as well, Case graduated from WMU with a bachelor's degree in French and a 4.00 GPA in December of 2024. She was a four-time Academic All-MAC selection, three-time Academic All-District honoree, three-time Academic All-American and was named the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Team Member of the Year, honoring the top student-athlete in all of Division I women's volleyball. As a senior, she was also awarded the MAC Medal of Excellence, which honors one male and female student-athlete from each member institution's graduating class who has demonstrated excellence in athletics, leadership and service.
 
Following her career at WMU, Case signed with Fer Volley in Kosovo and helped the club to Super Cup and Independence Cup titles this past fall.
