WMU Volleyball Announces 2026 Conference Schedule

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – In conjunction with the rest of the Mid-American Conference, the Western Michigan volleyball team announced its 2026 league schedule on Thursday.

With the number of teams in the MAC reduced to 11, the conference has adjusted from 18 league matches to 16, eight home and eight away. The Broncos are set to face four teams once (Ohio, Kent State, Bowling Green and Miami), and the remaining six teams twice.

Western Michigan opens up its 2026 conference schedule on Sept. 25-26 with a trip to Muncie, Ind., to face reigning regular season champion Ball State. The Broncos are set to welcome a pair of in-state rivals for their first two home league contests, with Central Michigan coming to University Arena on Sept. 29 and Eastern Michigan coming to town on Oct. 2.

The following week, WMU travels to Akron for a two-match series from Oct. 8-9. The Broncos then return home for the next two weekends, first welcoming in Toledo (Oct. 16-17) for a rematch of the 2025 MAC Tournament Championship Match. Western Michigan then hosts Buffalo from Oct. 23-24.

WMU heads out on the road for its next three contests, traveling to Ohio (Oct. 30) and Kent State (Oct. 31) to wrap up October, before beginning November with a visit to Eastern Michigan (Nov. 3).

Bowling Green comes to Kalamazoo on Nov. 7, and the Broncos then wrap up their home slate on Nov. 13 against Miami. Western Michigan closes out the 2026 regular season on Nov. 14 at Central Michigan.

The 2026 Mid-American Conference Championship will once again be a six-team tournament. It will be hosted by Ball State from Nov. 20-22.
