SERIES HISTORY
The Broncos come into the weekend with a dominant 32-6 all-time record against Buffalo. Western Michigan took both meetings in Buffalo last season, while the two teams split a pair of matches in UB's last trip to Kalamazoo in 2024.

LAST TIME OUT
Western Michigan is coming off of a two-match sweep over Toledo last weekend, topping the Rockets in four on Friday and then claiming a straight-set victory on Saturday to hand the visitors their first two conference losses of the season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK DUO
Setter Leah Richmond and middle blocker Gabby Weihe each claimed MAC Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after their performances against Toledo. Richmond claimed Setter of the Week after totaling 78 assists (11.14/set) for the week and helping the Broncos hit .280 in the two contests, which included a season-best .374 mark on Saturday. Weihe led the WMU attack with 28 kills (4.00/set) on a .400 hitting percentage on the way to Offensive Player of the Week honors. The senior is the first player in the conference this season to have both an Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week award.

MILESTONE CHASING
Leah Richmond comes into this weekend with 1,956 assists, 44 away from 2,000 for her collegiate career. The most recent Bronco to surpass 2,000 career assists was current WMU assistant coach Logan Case, who went on to become the all-time leader in assists for the Brown and Gold and the Mid-American Conference. Richmond leads the MAC and ranks 29th in NCAA Division I with 10.36 assists per set this season and has helped Western Michigan to a .253 hitting percentage, the second-best mark in the MAC and 50th-best in the nation.

SCOUTING THE BULLS
Buffalo comes into the weekend on a two-game slide and on the outside looking in at the league's top-6. UB setter Maddie Mitchell ranks second in the conference at 8.96 assists per set, and has set Manoela Forlin up for 3.60 kills per set, the third-highest mark in the MAC. As a team, the Bulls are third in the conference at 2.20 blocks per set.
