CLEVELAND – In conjunction with its TV partners, ESPN and CBS Sports Network, the Mid-American Conference announced its national basketball television schedule for the 2025-26 season on Thursday. The extensive package features coverage of MAC men's and women's basketball contests that will be televised nationally on the following linear platforms -- ESPN2, ESPNU and CBS Sports Network.
The first wave of national television selections were also announced on Thursday, with the remainder of ESPN and CBS Sports Network's picks being 21-day wildcard selections, with games on January 25, January 27, February 1, February 8, February 13, February 20, February 27, March 6 and March 7 to be announced by those networks 21 days in advance.
The MAC Men's Basketball Tournament Quarterfinals will be available on ESPN+. For the 10th consecutive year, the MAC Men's Tournament Semifinals will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network, while the Championship Game is slated to air on ESPN2 on Saturday, March 14. The MAC Women's Tournament Quarterfinals and Semifinals will be on ESPN+, with CBS Sports Network set to air the MAC Women's Tournament Championship Game on Saturday, March 14.
In addition to its national television package, all 13 MAC institutions will be participating in the league's school content production program with ESPN. Each institution will provide a minimum of 35 athletic events as part of the agreement. Those games will appear exclusively on ESPN+.
The WMU men's basketball team is also slated to be featured on national television twice during its non-conference schedule. The Bronco men head to Ohio State on November 20 and Iowa on December 14, with both games set to air on the Big Ten Network.
Basketball season is just a few weeks away, with both the men's and women's teams gearing up for their regular season openers the week of November 3. The Western Michigan men's team begins its 2025-26 campaign on Monday, November 3 at University Arena against Coastal Carolina. After opening the season on the road, the Bronco women's team has its home opener on Sunday, November 9, against Duquesne.
