KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan men's basketball program has announced that registration is now open for Alumni Weekend and the 2026 Lary Blahnik Golf Outing, which are set for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 11-12. Registration is available here. 

The weekend of events begins on Friday afternoon with an open practice at 2 pm inside University Arena. At 5:30 pm that evening, there will be a Basketball Social event downtown at the Radisson with both the WMU men's and women's basketball programs. 

The 2026 Lary Blahnik Golf Outing is set for Saturday at Heritage Glen Golf Club in Paw Paw. The cost to participate in the golf outing is $150 per golfer ($600 per foursome), and includes golf, cart, lunch and soft drinks. On-site registration begins at 8 am, with the four-person scramble beginning with a shotgun start at 9 am. There will be silent auction items up for bid and several sponsorship opportunities are available as well, with all proceeds going towards the program's operating budget for the 2026-27 season. 

Following the golf outing, the Broncos will be hosting a tailgate leading up to the Western Michigan football team's home opener against Monmouth. Registration for the tailgate is $15 per person, and all WMU men's basketball alumni who register can receive up to four complimentary tickets to the football game. The tailgate begins at 4:30 pm in front of the Bronco statue outside Read Fieldhouse, with the football game then set to kickoff at 6:30 pm.
