CLEVELAND – In conjunction with its TV partners, ESPN and CBS Sports Network, the Mid-American Conference announced its national basketball television schedule for the 2026-27 season on Wednesday. The extensive package features coverage of MAC men's and women's basketball contests that will be televised nationally on the following linear platforms -- ESPN2, ESPNU and CBS Sports Network.

The first wave of national television selections were also announced on Wednesday, with the remainder of ESPN and CBS Sports Network's picks being 21-day wildcard selections, with games on February 6, February 12, February 13, February 19, February 26 and March 5 to be announced by those networks 21 days in advance.

The MAC Men's Basketball Tournament First Round and Quarterfinals will be available on ESPN+. For the 11th consecutive year, the MAC Men's Tournament Semifinals will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network, while the Championship Game is slated to air on ESPN2 on Saturday, March 13. The MAC Women's Tournament First Round, Quarterfinals and Semifinals will be on ESPN+, with CBS Sports Network set to air the MAC Women's Tournament Championship Game for the 10th year in a row on Saturday, March 13.
 
In addition to its national television package, all 12 MAC institutions will be participating in the league's school content production program with ESPN. Each institution will provide a minimum of 35 athletic events as part of the agreement. Those games will appear exclusively on ESPN+.

Basketball season is just a few weeks away, with both the Western Michigan men's and women's teams gearing up for their regular season openers the week of November 2. The women's team begins its 2026-27 campaign on Monday, November 2, at University Arena against Coastal Carolina. After opening the Kahil Fennell era on the road at Old Dominion, the Bronco men's team has its home opener on Thursday, November 5, against Kalamazoo College.
