CLEVELAND, Ohio – A total of 140 Mid-American Conference women's soccer student-athletes were named to the 2024 Women's Soccer Academic All-MAC Team, as announced by the league office on Thursday. Western Michigan Michigan was represented by 11 student-athletes, including three with a perfect 4.00 GPA. 

WMU was one of eight programs to have double-digit honorees. The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.

Western Michigan was represented by Brielle Gomez (Exercise Science, 4.00), Drew Martin (Biomedical Sciences, 4.00), Jen Blitchok (Masters of Business Administration, 4.00), Heidi Thomasma (Biomedical Sciences, 3.92), Brooke Bailey (Exercise Science, 3.90), Jaden Peck (Marketing, 3.90), Lauren Boafo (Psychology, 3.88), Abby Werthman (Physical and Health Education Teach Ed K-12, 3.80), Emily Pagett (Accountancy, 3,80), Jenna Blackburn (Physical and Health Education Teach Ed K-12, 3.63) and Madi Canada (Pre-Finance, 3.62). 

The Broncos have had double-digit honorees in every season since the award was created in 2014. Eight of WMU's selections this season are repeat award winners.
