Logan Case Voted Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year

AUSTIN, Texas – Western Michigan senior setter Logan Case has been voted the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year for NCAA Division I women's volleyball. Case is the third student-athlete in WMU history to earn this prestigious honor, joining Bronco men's soccer players Anthony Bowie (2019) and Dylan Sing (2023).

As the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year, Case headlines CSC's Division I Academic All-America® First Team. It is the second consecutive year she has been named a First Team Academic All-American.

A native of Maineville, Ohio, Case is a French major with a 4.00 GPA. She earned a litany of accolades this season, including earning All-American status from both the AVCA (Honorable Mention) and VolleyballMag.com (Third Team). Among the senior's other honors this past season was becoming just the second player in Mid-American Conference history to be named both the MAC Player of the Year and Setter of the Year in the same season. Case was also named to the AVCA Midwest All-Region First Team, All-MAC First Team for the fourth straight year and MVP of the Mid-American Conference Championship.

The NCAA Division I leader in total assists this season with 1,421, Case finished second nationally with 11.94 assists per set. Back on Oct. 17, she became Western Michigan's all-time leader in career assists, and in the MAC Championship against Bowling Green, became the first Bronco to eclipse 5,000 career assists.

Case was integral to WMU's success this fall, as it enjoyed one of the best seasons in program history. Western Michigan captured both the MAC Regular Season and Tournament titles on the way to a 31-3 record, its first 30-win season since 1983. The Broncos reached their first NCAA Tournament since 2014, and went on to upset No. 7 seed Auburn in the first round for their first NCAA Tournament win since 2008.
