After a pair of home wins last week, Western Michigan takes it 4-0 conference record on the road on Tuesday night to meet Akron, who has also started 4-0 in league play.

WMU heads into Tuesday's matchup against Akron 4-0 in conference play for the first time since the 2004-05 campaign when it won its first six MAC contests. Western Michigan has won five consecutive games overall, its longest winning run since it rattled off nine victories in a row near the end of the 2016-17 season.

The Broncos won their fifth consecutive game on Saturday as they held on late to knock off Ohio, 81-79, at University Arena. Four players scored in double-figures for the Brown and Gold, led by

Western Michigan was dominant on the glass on Saturday as it enjoyed a 46-29 edge in rebounding against Ohio, marking the seventh straight game the Broncos have won the rebounding battle. During this run, WMU has risen to second in the MAC in overall rebounding (38.1) and tied for second in rebounding margin (+3.3). The Brown and Gold also sits atop the conference in offensive rebounding for the second consecutive season at 12.5 per game.

B. Artis White has been integral to Western Michigan's winning streak, averaging 18.8 points and 5.4 assists per game during the five-game run. The redshirt junior has shot 46.9 percent (30-of-64) from the floor and 51.4 percent (19-of-37) from three-point range during the winning streak.

Seth Hubbard led Western Michigan in scoring for the ninth time this season on Saturday as he notched 15 points. It marked his seventh straight game in double-figures and 14th double-digit scoring effort in WMU's 16 games this season. He sits seventh in the league in scoring at 16.8 points per game.

WMU has been sharing the basketball well as of late, as it has averaged 20.0 assists per game during its five-game winning streak. For the season, the Broncos are third in the league at 14.2 assists per game, with
