KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan head men's basketball coach Kahil Fennell has announced the hiring of Manny Patterson as the program's new Director of Player Development.
A native of Chicago, Patterson joins Fennell's staff after spending the last two seasons coaching at Francis W. Parker High School. This past season, he helped develop three All-Conference selections and the ISL Player of the Year. He also ran the MP Skills Academy in the area.
Patterson joined the coaching ranks after finishing up an accomplished career as a player, which included professional stops in Finland, Austria, Spain and Sweden. He played five seasons of college basketball, starting out at Green Bay before concluding his collegiate experience at SEMO, where he played for current WMU assistant coach Dustin Yoder. He graduated from Southeast Missouri State in 2021.
