KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan track and field team heads down to the University of Cincinnati for the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
The Broncos will compete in just one event on Friday with
Lily Kucharek,
Elizabeth Shontz, and
Taylor Eaton competing in the hammer throw. All the running events WMU competes in take place on Saturday, along with the discus and shot put.

WMU opened up the outdoor season down at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational last weekend, with a couple of Broncos already making their mark on the Mid-American Conference Performance List. Freshman sprinter
Azariah McGee-Grantham already sits in the top five in the conference in two events, the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash. She holds fourth in both with a time of 11.88 seconds in the 100 and 25.0 in the 200. Sophomore
Grace Johnson has the top 100-meter hurdle time in the MAC at 13.90 and classmate Sarinity Bracy ranks sixth with a time of 14.43.
Also holding down a top five spot is
Kailyn Mince in the steeplechase with a time of 12:01.23.
Western Michigan heads to the east side of the state next weekend for the Golden Grizzlies Invitational hosted by Oakland.
