COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A program record 21 student-athletes on the Western Michigan hockey team have been named to the National Collegiate Hockey Conference Academic All-Conference Team.

The Broncos tied with Omaha for the most selections in the conference. WMU's previous team record was 17 set back during the 2019-20 season.

Ronnie Attard, Trevor Bishop, Scooter Brickey, Brandon Bussi, Ethen Frank, Aidan Fulp, Cole Gallant,Ty Glover, Luke Grainger, Ross Hawryluk, Chad Hillebrand, Daniel Hilsendager, Michael Joyaux, Hugh Larkin
Josh Passolt, Matteo Pecchia, Jason Polin, Jamie Rome, Tim Washe, Jarred White and Drew Worrad all earned the honors. Bishop, Brickey, Bussi, Frank, Fulp, Glover, Grainger, Hawryluk, Hillebrand, Hilsendager, Pecchia, Polin and Worrad all earned NCHC Scholar Athlete honors for posting GPA's of 3.50 and above. Fulp is one of just six student-athletes in the league to sport a 4.0 GPA.

To be eligible for the NCHC Academic All-Conference Team, a student-athlete must compile a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average or better, while having completed at least one full academic year at his current institution. Student-athletes that have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better are honored as NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athletes, in addition to Academic All-Conference.

The NCHC opens the honors up to current freshmen after the conclusion of the spring semesters in April.
