Broncos Finish Season Ranked Sixth in Nation

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – With another historic hockey season in the books, Western Michigan was able to remain among the top teams in the nation. 

The Broncos finished the 2025-26 campaign ranked sixth in both the USCHO and USA Hockey polls. The Brown and Gold have been ranked among the nation's top 10 since November of 2024. Denver, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Dakota and Michigan State made up the top five in both polls. 

WMU had another historic season, earning the program's fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Brown and Gold won 27 games overall and 16 in NCHC play. WMU has the third most wins in Division I over the last five years.
