Golf Announces 2021-22 Schedule

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan golf team and head coach Kim Moore have announced the 2021-22 schedule.

WMU opens up the season at the Roseanna Schwartz Invitational hosted by Youngstown State on Sept.13-14. The following week the Broncos head to familiar territory and the Ball State Cardinal Classic on Sept. 20-21. Western Michigan once again returns to Eastern Michigan's Shirley Spork Invitational on Oct. 4-5. The Broncos close out the Fall schedule with trips to the Bradley Coyote Creek Classic on Oct. 9-10 and then on to the Charles Braun Jr. Intercollegiate at Evansville on Oct. 18-19.

After the long break, Western Michigan returns to action with seven tournaments during the Spring season. WMU heads down to Florida for the annual Mid-American Match Play Challenge, hosted by Bowling Green, on Feb. 7-8. After a few weeks off the Broncos head to their home away from home in Rio Verde, Ariz., for the 19th annual Rio Verde Invitational. WMU missed out on hosting it last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Western Michigan heads back to Florida for the Don Benbow Collegiate hosted by Butler in Jacksonville Beach on March 7-8.  After a few weeks off the season continues, closing out March at the Diane Daugherty Invitational, hosted by Southern Illinois, in Saint Charles, Mo. WMU returns to the Colonel Classic hosted by Eastern Kentucky on April 4-5 and then to the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational on April 9-10 in its final meet before the Mid-American Conference Championship.

Toledo hosts this season's championship at the Stone Oak Country Club in Holland, Ohio on April 22-24.
