Men’s Basketball Readies for Home Game Tuesday Against Kent State

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Playing at home for the first time since Jan. 23 the Western Michigan men's basketball readies for a pivotal Mid-American Conference match-up on Tuesday, Jan. 16 against Kent State.

Scouting the Broncos
Western Michigan returns home for the first time since Jan. 23 with an overall record of 4-12 and 3-8 in Mid-American Conference play. The Broncos are coming off an 86-54 loss to Buffalo last Friday and seek its first home win since Dec. 18.

Not So Flash
Western Michigan has won four of the previous six meetings against Kent State inside University Arena. WMU defeated KSU last season at home, 67-63.

During MAC  play the Broncos have been led by sophomore B. Artis White at 14.0 points per game. In 10 MAC contests for White the Canton, Mich., native is shooting 36.4 percent from long distance and 43.6 percent from the field.

Over the past five games senior forward Greg Lee has been dominant for the Broncos averaging 15.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per game

With a .553 field goal percentage, sophomore center Titus Wright ranks fourth in the MAC in field goal percentage

On the Horizon
Following Tuesday's contest the Broncos next scheduled game is set for Saturday, Feb. 27 at MAC leading Toledo.
