CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced the men's tennis singles player and doubles team of the week on Wednesday, March 6, with the Western Michigan duo of Jannik Opitz and Kennosuke Nouchi earning the doubles award. 

The doubles accolade stands as the second of the year for the Broncos' top doubles pair, as Opitz and Nouchi also received the award Feb. 20. 

Junior co-captain Jannik Opitz and junior Kennosuke Nouchi at No. 1 doubles helped the Broncos claim the doubles point during the 4-3 win over Valparaiso last Thursday, defeating Brandon Ancona / Kweisi Kenyatte 7-6, improving to 6-1 on the season. 

Western Michigan returns to action on Sunday March 10, hosting Drake University at 10 a.m. inside West Hills Athletic Club.
