Scouting the Broncos
With four games remaining in the regular season the Broncos sit with an overall record of 8-19 and 2-12 in Mid-American Conference play. If the MAC Tournament were to begin today, WMU would be the No. 12 seed. WMU looks to sweep the season series against Northern Illinois for the first time since 2012.
Double-Double Dugan
Senior center
Seth Dugan ranks 26
th in the NCAA and second in the MAC with 12 double-doubles this season. The Otsego, Mich., native is coming off a 15 point, 10 rebounds performance on Saturday at Eastern Michigan. Dugan's 12 double-doubles is currently the fourth most in a single-season in program history.
Top Ten Scoring Duo
Dugan along with sophomore
Michael Flowers both rank in the top ten in the MAC in scoring at 15.7 and 16.1 points, respectively. WMU along with CMU are the only teams to have two players ranked in the top ten.
Dugan and Flowers are just the 16
th duo in program history to have scored over 400 points in a single season.
Senior Double-Doubles
For the fifth time this season seniors
Josh Davis and
Seth Dugan each registered a double-double, doing so last Saturday at Eastern Michigan. Davis recorded 14 points with a team-high 12 rebounds while Dugan had a team-high 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Need an Assist
On Saturday at EMU the Broncos matched their season-high with 20 assists. It was the most assists by the Brown & Gold since having 20 back on Nov.6 against Detroit Mercy.
Boyer-Richard From Long Distance
Freshman
William Boyer-Richard leads the conference in three-point field goal percentage, shooting 54.5 percent from long distance. Boyer-Richard has made at least one three in each of the past four games and ranks third on the team with 35.
Scouting Northern Illinois
The Huskies are currently riding a six-game losing streak heading into Tuesday's contest and have an overall record of 12-15, 5-9 in MAC play. Last Saturday NIU traveled to MAC West leader Toledo and fell 57-54 despite leading for 32 minutes. Â
