Western Michigan enters Wednesday's contest with an overall record of 6-5 and is coming off back-to-back last second victories over Youngstown State and Manhattan. The Broncos are one of the best teams in the country in protecting the ball, ranking 15

Brandon Johnson earned MAC West Co-Player of the Week honors on Monday after posting his third straight double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds at Manhattan. Over the past five games, Johnson is averaging 16.6 points and 11.4 rebounds per game.

Home Court Advantage
The Broncos are 4-1 inside University Arena and with a victory came move to 5-1 at home for the first time since the 2015-16 campaign.

Rafael Cruz Jr. is the Broncos' third leading scorer with 8.3 points off the bench. Cruz Jr. is shooting 40.3 percent from the field this season and in the last five games in averaging 8.2 points and 3.4 rebounds.
On the Horizon
Following Wednesday's contest, WMU will have a lengthy break for the holidays before returning to the court on Sunday, Dec. 29 in East Lansing against national ranked Michigan State. WMU then begins MAC play at home on Saturday, Jan. 4 against east division rival Akron.
Scouting the Competition
