SILVER LAKE, Ohio – Western Michigan senior golfer Jasmine Chee finished in sixth place at the 2019 Mid-American Conference Fall Preview at Silver Lake Country Club, the home of the 2020 MAC Championships, on Tuesday.
Chee finished her final round with a 79 for a 54-hole total of 231 (+15). The Broncos finished fifth in the nine-team field with a combined score of 961 (+67). Chee finished tied for the tournament lead in pars with 36, the second-straight time a Bronco has led a tournament in pars. Eastern Michigan took the top spot, followed by Akron, Ball State and Toledo.
For the second straight tournament freshman Alissa Fish emerged as WMU's second finisher. Fish shot a third round of 78, her best round of the tournament, for a 239 (+23). Junior Cameryn Lucia and sophomore Fiona Wang finished right next to each other. Lucia finished with a three-round total of 246 (+30) and Wang right behind her with a 248 (+32). Sophomore Imogen Courtney rounded out the Broncos' finishers, wrapping up the tournament with a 252 (+36).
WMU wraps up the fall season heading to Birmingham, Mich., and the Birmingham Country Club for the Chippewa Invitational on Oct. 21-22.
