"We had about as good of a year as we could this past season," commented WMU head coach
Dave Morin. "It is nice to see our players rewarded for their efforts by being selected to play in the event next January."
The yearly ITA Kick-Off Weekend draft allows teams to select which of the 15 host sites they will travel to compete for a spot in the ITA Indoor Team Championships. The 2019 Indoor Championships will be hosted by Illinois; as the host the Illini automatically qualify for the 16-team field.
The Broncos join host No. 4 Texas A&M, No. 35 Cal and No. 41 Virginia at the Mitchell Tennis Center. With the 17th selection in the draft the Bears chose to travel to central Texas while the Cavaliers joined them with the 23rd selection. Following a nearly two-hour wait, the 51st and final selection of the day was made by the Broncos to complete the College Station pod.
