NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team concluded singles competition while the pair of Peter Kuszynski and Jack Randall advanced to the doubles semifinals during day three of the ITA Midwest Regional Championships at the University of Notre Dame Saturday, Oct. 20.
In the quarterfinal round of doubles, the pair of Kuszysnki and Randall defeated Andrew Fenty and Mattias Siimar from the University of Michigan 8-6.
Four Broncos competed in the main singles draw. Lenhard Haupt, Matej Svjetlicic, Kuszysnki, Randall, and Jannik Opitz each fell in the first round.
Kuszynski led the Brown & Gold in singles play throughout the tournament, going 3-1. Today's loss was his first in five matches while he leads the team with a 10-3 overall singles mark.
Kuszynski and Randall, now 4-0 in the tournament, will compete in the doubles semifinal versus the No. 1 seed, Martin Joyce and Hunter Tubert from Ohio State tomorrow morning, Oct. 21.Â
