THE TIP-OFF
Western Michigan is looking to rebound from a 65-46 loss to Toledo last Saturday, which was the Broncos' first loss of the season in University Arena ... Western Michigan currently holds a 6-1 record on its home floor in 2014-15 ... WMU travels to Kent State this Saturday, facing the Golden Flashes at 7 p.m. ... the Broncos host Eastern Michigan in their next home game, Wednesday, Jan. 28 ... WMU's defense enters the week ranked second in the MAC and 36th in the nation.

ABOUT THE BRONCOS
The Broncos are led by third-year head coach Shane Clipfell who has improved his win total every season at WMU ... 6-0 junior forward Miracle Woods leads the team with 13.3 ppg and is pulling down 5.7 rpg ... three other players average 8.0 ppg or better - A.J. Johnson (8.6), Alex Morton (8.3) and Jessica Jessing (8.1) ... Michelle O'Brien has a team-best 7.0 rpg ... during MAC play Western Michigan is averaging 54.4 ppg and allowing 58.0 ppg.

SCOUTING BOWLING GREEN
The Falcons are led by Jennifer Roos, in her third season at BGSU, she has a career record of 62-24 ... the Falcons have been one of the MAC's most consistent programs, and have recorded 20 or more wins in each of the past 10 seasons ... last year, BGSU posted a 30-5 overall, 17-1 MAC record and advanced to the WNIT quarterfinals ... the Falcons lost their top three players from that squad, and returned six letterwinners and two starters for 2014-15 ... BGSU is 1-4 in the MAC this season, dropping its first three games to Ball State, Akron and Kent State before defeating Northern Illinois (65-59) ... the team is coming off a 64-52 loss at Eastern Michigan Saturday ... 5-10 senior guard Deborah Hoekstra is leading the team with 12.2 ppg and 9.8 rpg in MAC play ... as a team, BGSU is scoring 54.8 ppg and allowing 61.4 ppg in conference contests.

SERIES NOTEBOOK
This will be the 59th meeting between Western Michigan and Bowling Green, with WMU trailing in the all-time series, 23-35 ... WMU has defeated Bowling Green three times in the last eight meetings, Toledo is the only other MAC team to produce more wins over the Falcons in that amount of games ... BGSU has won two straight against WMU in the series, winning last year in Bowling Green, 72-50, and in the 2013 MAC Tournament, 55-53 ... the Broncos took the 2013 regular season meeting in Kalamazoo, 55-54, on Feb. 10.

LAST TIME OUT - BRONCOS STUMBLE AGAINST TOLEDO
Visiting MAC West division rival Toledo handed Western Michigan its first home loss of the season defeating the Broncos Saturday, 65-46 ... neither team could get much going offensively in the first half and Toledo held a slight 23-20 advantage at halftime ... junior forward Miracle Woods had nine points for the Broncos at the half, while Jessica Jessing had six.

Western Michigan's struggle to put points on the board continued into the second half as Toledo started to find its groove ... WMU scored just six points over the first 11 minutes of the second half and with 9:11 remaining the Rockets had built a 20-point lead, 46-26 ... the Broncos started to knock down shots, cutting the deficit to 13, with 7:14 left to play, but it was too little too late.

The Broncos had 19 turnovers in the game, while Toledo committed 14 ... Western Michigan shot 29.3 percent from the floor and Toledo connected on over 43 percent.

Woods finished with her first double-double of the season (11th career) with 17 points and 10 rebounds, including six on the offensive glass ... Jessing and Michelle O'Brien were the team's next highest scorers with eight points each ... O'Brien added six rebounds.

NUMBERS WATCH
Several Broncos are approaching career milestones ... senior A.J. Johnson has 99 career three's and would be the 12th Bronco all-time to hit 100 triples ... senior Marquisha Harris is nearing 500 career rebounds, currently with 485 ... junior forward Miracle Woods currently has 892 career points ... she would be the 25th player in school history to reach the 1,000-point mark.
