Dennis BrownOn Unions pressure:
“They
work hard to get the pucks behind us. Sometimes they skate in and
sometimes they don't, but they did a good job of pressuring us.”
On the difference in offensive play in the 2nd and 3rd periods:
“I
think it was just short spans. They are a good hockey club, and so are
we. We made some mistakes that we can fix, and we'll be ready for them
again
tomorrow."
On Kuhn:
“I love it. It's a great asset. If we can do our job and he can clear the puck, it's awesome.”
On stopping Union's power play goals:
“Pressure. Knowing our spots and where the pucks going to go, and blocking shots.”
Shane BerschbachOn his two goals:
“The
first one was an all around great play. They hit me perfect and it was a
2 on 1. The second one came right to me and I just sent it home.”
On
Jerry Kuhn:
“Jerry has been playing unbelievable. He's playing strong and he's a huge part of our winning.”
On adjustments for
tomorrow's game:
“I
think we need to come out the same way, with a lot of energy in the
first period. We need to play sixty minutes of good hockey, not just
forty or twenty.”
Head Coach
Jeff BlashillExpectations for the game:
“We
knew Union was a very good hockey team, they've been ranked in the top
15 in the nation most of the season. We knew it would be hard running
our offense against them. They do a very good job of not beating
themselves. It was pretty typical about how I thought the game would
go.”
On Union's physicality:
“Yeah, they are a physical
team and they showed us. We knew that they were physical and that they'd
run us into the walls. I thought our guys did a good job of finding
ways around that.”
On power plays:
“I thought we did a
pretty good job. There were a few pucks that could have found their way
to the net. We need to get better on finishing the kill. Overall I was
happy with our performance. And a part of that is Jerry, I thought he
played very well.”
On adjustments for
tomorrow:
“We'll look at the film and I'm sure there will be some. More than that I'm sure it's just some execution on our end.”
Jerry KuhnOn Unions pace:
“It
was steady back and forth. They tried to chip pucks by our defense and
force turnovers in our zone. They were coming pretty close to me so I
was able to play the puck for my defense.”
On how he played
tonight:
“I was thanking my lucky stars. I got some good bounces and hopefully they continue
tomorrow.”
On adjustments for
tomorrow:
“I think if we keep playing the way we're playing, we'll be ok for
tomorrow. We're playing Bronco Hockey.”
