Freshman Defenseman
Dennis BrownOn his first collegiate goal:
“It was on the
power play. One of their forwards lost their stick and Chase hit me with
a nice pass. I went to the right side and it went in.”
On playing against a left handed goalie:
“As a righty it's a lot easier, but being a defensemen it doesn't help too much. It's just a little different look on scoring.”
On momentum changes:
“We were doing well in the first, we took it to them. We need to work on a couple detail things for
tomorrow night. It just went the other way
tonight.”
On what it will take to beat Lake Superior State
tomorrow night:
“Just attention to detail, making big blocks, and shooting the puck. If we do that, we should be successful.
Head Coach
Jeff BlashillThoughts on the game:
“I
thought in the second period we played good also. Attention to detail
in the second cost us some goals. We need to be better at the goaltender
position, that's just a fact. Our third period wasn't good enough.
That's the first time I've seen from our team not the type of fight we
need to win at a high level. We have a decision to make on what kind of
hockey we're going to come out and play
tomorrow.”
On switching goalies:
“It's
not an easy thing to do. They have to get in there and stop a few pucks
early and play their game. I don't know what happened on the second
goal, it's just something that happens. Kuhn's going to start for us
tomorrow and he knows that, he's going to have to come in and play well early and hopefully give himself some inner confidence.
