Ben Warda
On his first goal as a Bronco-
"It was one of the best feelings that I've had playing so
far. Scoring against those guys was awesome, and even better to get the win."
On winning two games in a row-
"For a team, we're just rolling into it. We're confident, we
thought we were the better team and we went out and proved it against my former
team, it couldn't have come at a better time."
On the rivalry-
"It's always a good rivalry, you always come up for it. It's
always a good match up every game against these two schools.
Nick Pisellini
"We were expecting another win. We were confident that we
were a better team than they were. I think we proved a lot of people wrong who
thought other wise."
On what Coach has instilled in the team thus far-
"Confidence that we are a great team. I think in years past,
a lot of guys went into games doubting themselves and hoping to win instead of
expecting to win. This year we expect to win every game, and it's been great."
On Michigan States second goal being called back-
I didn't see it. I lost it up in the rafters; I just saw it
drop down. We had the initial save but they got the rebound in. It was a very
fortunate call for us for them to disallow that."
On the crowd
"Its unbelievable, I love it. I haven't played in an
atmosphere like that ever. It's really something special that we have in the
"lunatics."
Head Coach Jeff Blashill
On winning both games vs. MSU-
"Were taking a step toward becoming a good hockey team.
We're going to have to take a lot of steps all year long, so hopefully by the
end of the year we're a really good hockey team. This was certainly one of
those steps forward. During the course
of the year you want to minimize your steps backwards and maximize your steps
forward."
On tonight's atmosphere-
"I have, but this is second to none across the country. Our
student section is as good as any in the country, better than most. Our
atmosphere is as good as any in the country, better than most. I've been in some of the better environments
in college hockey, Cornell, Michigan has a good environment, but I'll put ours
up against any in college hockey."
On Ben Warda scoring against his old team-
"It's great for Ben. He's a Bronco, and for him to come back
and score on his old team is great for him and we're proud to have him."
On what needs
improvement-
"We need to continue to improve. We turned too many pucks
over. We just want to create great habits, and that takes a year of hard work.
We'll come back this week and work on creating those habits.
