Chase Balisy
On preparations for the game-
"We tried not to take as many penalties as last night and
keep it simple."
On the physical aspect of the game-
"Last night was pretty physical so we didn't expect anything
different."
On making changes after regulation-
"He didn't say much, he said to keep playing how we did the
whole game, and we had some chances."
Luke Witkowski
Preparations for this game-
"Keeping it simple, last night we came out strong and kind
of fell behind. We all thought if we played our game then we'd be fine."
Changes after regulation-
"No, we cut the bench a little bit, but that's it."
On what needs the most work-
"Playing the full 60 minutes. There were times tonight when
we didn't do that."
Head Coach Jeff Blashill
Thoughts on performance
"I want to first comment that we're going to coach the
process. I thought the process for the most part was good. We had guys put us
in the position to win the game. We're still learning about our game. We need
to learn how to win these close games."
Changes after regulation
"No, I thought we were playing the way we needed too. I
thought we had momentum. We create great habits in practice and let the guys go
out and practice those habits in a game."
On the game physicality-
"Last night was real physical and chippy. When you play the
same opponent back to back, generally the Saturday game is pretty physical.
Thoughts on the 5 vs. 3 power play-
"It's something we have prepared for, but we didn't execute
it like we needed to. We got a couple looks but not a lot. When you get those
opportunities you have to score. That might have been our first or second 5 vs.
3."
