FRISCO, Texas -- Four members of the Western Michigan University women's golf team have earned All-American Scholar distinction from the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) for the 2025-26 season.
Seniors
Jenna Hayes and
Megha Vallabhaneni, junior
Macy Beeson, and sophomore
Lauren Lupinek were all named to the 2025-26 WGCA All-American Scholar Team on Monday afternoon. To be selected, a student-athlete must meet the following criteria:
• Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
• Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season.
• Have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the season through the team's conference championship.
This is the third time Hayes and Vallabhaneni have earned the honor while it is both Beeson and Lupinek's first selection.
Beeson finished the season as a junior sports management major with a 3.59 cumulative GPA. Beeson competed in 10 tournaments for the Broncos this season and had a career-high finish at the WMU Bronco Fall Classic finishing 16th. Hayes graduated this spring as a senior finance major with a 3.97 GPA in four years at WMU. The senior played in 10 tournaments and had a season-high finish of 11th at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational.
Lupinek was a sophomore sports management major with a 3.84 cumulative GPA for her first national scholar honor. She appeared in 11 tournaments for the Brown and Gold, setting a new career-high with a fourth place finish at the Dayton Flyers Invitational this fall. While Vallabhaneni graduated from the Western Michigan golf program as a sales and business marketing manager, earning a 3.81 overall GPA. Vallabhaneni led the Broncos through 11 tournaments this past season while setting program records for lowest scoring average (74.6), scoring average vs. par (2.58), and rounds of par or better (8).
WMU will begin the new 2026-27 season in a month and a half at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational hosted by Central Michigan September 6 and 7.
