KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan track and field team will split up this weekend for meets at Duke and Grand Valley State. 

TOP-10 PERFORMERS
For the second consecutive week, the Broncos had multiple student-athletes collect top-10 times in program history. Ava Kurczewski picked up her second top-10 time of the season, earning the sixth best 1500 time for the Brown and Gold. 

Outside of her, Kaelin Hughes made a strong college debut in the 3K steeplechase. The young distance runner entered the record book with the ninth best time in program history. 

GETTING IT DONE IN THE CLASSROOM
The Mid-American Conference has announced the 2025-26 Indoor Track & Field Academic All-MAC Team, recognizing 261 student-athletes for outstanding achievements both in the classroom and on the track.

The Broncos had 15 honorees, including Rebekah Asselin, Jade Celestine, Laurie-Ann Desormes, Sandra Ferrari, Lane Hagens, Mabinty Kebe, Ava Kurczewski, Lara Machado Pereira, Anichka Malachi, Larissa McGrath, Lily Overton, Tess Van Dyk, Layla Wallace, Madison Zarembski and Lillian Zelasko.
