PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- The Western Michigan gymnastics team wrapped up the 2026 regular season at the Rutgers March Quad Meet on Friday night, picking up wins over Long Island and New Hampshire.
The Broncos finished with a 195.350, with LIU scoring a 194.650 and UNH a 194.00. The host Scarlet Knights defeated all three teams with a 196.550.
The strongest performance on the night from the Broncos came on floor. Sophomore
Kennedy Cooper tied for third place with a career-best score of 9.900. It is the first 9.900 of the sophomore's career. Finishing just behind her, also with a career-best, was freshman
Isabella Ciolfi with a score of 9.875. Junior
Julie Korfhage finished with a 9.850, while
Brooke Gelesko scored a 9.800. Combined, the team finished with a 49.150 in the event.
Western Michigan started off on bars, with Korfhage tying for second place with a 9.850.
Kate Parks was right behind her with a 9.825 to tie for third place, while
Reese Samuelson tied for fourth with a 9.800.
Hannah Milton led the way for WMU on beam with a 9.775.
Linda Uro,
Reese Samuelson and Korfhage all finished near each other with a 9.750, 9.725 and 9.700.
The Broncos finished things off with a strong showing on vault. Gelesko tied for second with a 9.825, while Cooper finished with a 9.800 and Ciolfi had a 9.775.
Western Michigan now heads to the MAC Championship Meet next Saturday at Bowling Green. Things get started at 2 p.m. and the meet can be watched live on ESPN+.
