KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- After several weeks of full team competition, Western Michigan will have a lighter weekend at the Grand Valley State Mike Lints Alumni Meet on Feb. 7. The Brown and Gold will have four student-athletes competing across three events.
Laurie-Ann Desormes will battle in the 60-meter dash, entering with one of the top times in the meet. Her current PR is 7.57.
Jade Celestine will also be in action, competing in the 60-meter hurdles. Like Desormes, she will be one of the top competitors at the meet, holding a PR of 8.73.
Anichka Malachi and
Layla Wallace will be the other Broncos competing at the meet. The duo will look to do damage in the long jump this weekend. Malachi's PR is 5.78 meters, while Wallace has earned a top leap of 5.52 meters.
The field events will begin at 1 PM, with running events kicking off at 1:30 PM. The entire meet will be held in Allendale, Mich. at the Kelly Family Sports Center.
