KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- For the third consecutive season, the Western Michigan women's soccer program has a College Sports Communicators Academic All-American, as
Drew Martin was named to the First team this afternoon. The senior midfielder is the fifth Academic All-American in program history.
Martin had a tremendous year on the pitch and in the classroom, carrying a 4.00 GPA in Biomedical Sciences. She has been an Academic All-MAC honoree each of the last three seasons and was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team a few weeks ago.
On the field, the Bloomfield Hills, Mich. native broke out in a big way. She ended the 2025 campaign with career highs in points (23), goals (5) and assists (13). Her 13 assists were the program's single-season record. With that, she was named the MAC Midfielder of the Year and was selected to the All-MAC First Team. Additionally, Martin also earned Second Team All-Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches.
Martin's incredible season helped the team reach some impressive milestones. The 2025 Broncos broke the single-season record for wins (16) and claimed two more MAC Championships, securing the regular season and tournament titles. Over the course of Martin's career, the Brown and Gold have won five MAC Championships (3 regular season, 2 tournament).
She leaves the program with impressive numbers, collecting 32 points on eight goals and 16 assists in 67 games played. The Broncos won 46 games in her time with the program.
