KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan gymnastics team turned in a season-best performance to pick up wins over New Hampshire and Fisk, while also having a Bronco in first place in every event, at the team's home-opener on Sunday afternoon.
WMU finished with a score of 195.350, besting UNH's 193.675 and the Bulldogs' 187.450.
Senior
Halle Faulkner picked up the win on vault after posting a score of 9.800. Fifth-year senior
Sarah Moravansky tied for second with a 9.775, while senior
Cassie St. Clair and freshman
Kennedy Cooper tied for third with a 9.750.
On bars, sophomore
Reese Samuelson tied with Fisk's Morgan Price for first with a 9.825 and was followed by three Broncos.
Julie Korfhage took second with a score of 9.800, while Moravansky took third with 9.775 and
Molly Freeman took fourth with a 9.750.
Sophomore
Emily Krzciok claimed her second beam title of the season after scoring a 9.850. Moravansky finished right behind her with a 9.825, marking her third top-three finish of the day.
Wrapping up the victories were St. Clair and senior Ally Shaupp, who shared the title with UNH's Anne Challman after scoring a 9.850.
Western Michigan is back in action next Sunday, opening Mid-American Conference competition at Ball State t 1 p.m. The meet can be watched live on ESPN+.
