ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Western Michigan gymnastics team wrapped up its annual exhibition match at the University of Michigan on Friday night.
The Broncos scored 194.175 to top Eastern Michigan's 191.700. The Wolverines finished with a 195.600.
Western Michigan's strongest event on the day was floor, scoring a 48.775. Cassie St. Claire had the team's top score of 9.850 and took third overall, followed by Hannah Milton and Ally Schaupp each with 9.825. The Broncos combined for a 48.725 on vault, with Halle Faulkner scoring a 9.800 to lead the team.
Shaupp had WMU's top score on beam with a 9.800, while Makenna King and Reese Samuelson each scored 9.750 on bars to lead the team and tie for second overall.
Freshman Reilan Garvey took second place and scored a 38.700 in the all-around with a 9.750 on vault, a 9.650 on bars, a 9.700 on beam and a 9.600 on floor.
Western Michigan opens the 2025 regular season at Michigan State on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 4 p.m.
