Evyn Carrier grabbed a career-high nine rebounds for The Brown and Gold. On Wednesday, graduate student Hannah Spitlzey tied Brooke Gallert (1998-2001) for the 15th most steals recorded in program history after recording four swipes against the Beacons.
Scouting The Ramblers
Loyola enters Saturday's match with a record of 5-4 after wins over Kentucky State, West Georgia, Southern Illinois University Edwardsburg, Valpo, and South Carolina State.
This season, Loyola's upperclassmen have made major contributions including Naelle Benard and Sitori Tannin. Offensively, the graduate student Bernard paces the Ramblers, averaging 10.0 points per game. Despite posting under 10 points in three out of her last four outings, Bernard has recorded at least 15 points on three occasions for Loyola. As for the graduate student forward Tanin, she became the 30th Rambler to join the 1,000-point club in the team's loss to La Salle this past Tuesday after recording a season-high 17 points and grabbing seven rebounds.
Series History
The Brown and Gold lead Loyola in the all-time series 7-4 dating back to 1990. On Saturday, the women's basketball team will look to win their sixth game against the Ramblers in the last seven games of the series.
