ALLEGAN, Mich. – Western Michigan baseball assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Jordan Keur has been named the head coach at Grand Valley State.
Keur joined WMU's staff in 2021 and helped coach WMU to a top-four finish in the Mid-American Conference standings this season.
"I am excited for Jordan and his family," said WMU head coach Billy Gernon. "Our relationship is very special going back to when I had the privilege of coach him as an assistant at Michigan State in 2010. He served Bronco Baseball with a passion and tireless work ethic and we will certainly miss him. Grand Valley State has hired a great person, coach, mentor, and leader."
Keur was hired at Western Michigan after a three-year stint as head coach at Lansing Community College, where he guided the team to a 47-3 record and a berth in the NJCAA XII Baseball Championship Series in 2021.
This marks the second-straight season in which a member of Coach Gernon's staff has accepted a head coaching position in the GLIAC. Keur joins Adam Piotrowicz, who accepted the head job at Saginaw Valley State after nine years as an assistant at WMU.
