Keur Headshot

Jordan Keur

Jordan Keur concluded his second season in the Western Michigan dugout in 2023. Hired as an assistant coach in July of 2021, he took on the additional responsibility of being WMU's recruiting coordinator in the summer of 2022.

Western Michigan turned in an 18-11 conference record and returned to the MAC Tournament in 2023. A trio of Broncos earned Second Team All-MAC honors, with Jimmy Allen, Brady Miller and Cade Sullivan receiving the accolade. Sullivan launched a single-season program record-tying 18 home runs. Defensively, WMU led the conference and ranked 27th in the nation with 49 double plays and posted the second-best overall fielding percentage (.974).

In Keur's first season at WMU, the Broncos set a single-season program record with 131 doubles. Dylan Nevar was named the MAC Freshman of the Year and a Freshman All-American, while Connor Charping earned his second straight First Team All-MAC selection. Cade Sullivan was picked for both the All-MAC Second Team and the All-MAC Defensive Team. Nevar and Sullivan became the first two Bronco teammates to hit double-digit homers in the same season since 2001.

Prior to joining the Broncos, Keur was the head coach at Lansing Community College, most recently leading the Stars to a 47-3 record and berth in the NJCAA Region XII Baseball Championship Series after finishing the season ranked No. 1 in the nation. His first LCC squad in 2019 went 36-9 and ranked seventh nationally among NJCAA Division II teams. His teams that played full seasons in 2019 and 2021 own the top two winning percentages in school history. Keur was voted conference coach of the year in both 2019 and 2021, while also collecting regional coach of the year honors in 2021.

Before his time at LCC, he spent four seasons at Michigan State, where he helped the Spartans set a school record for stolen bases in 2018 (100), a mark which led the Big Ten and ranked 10th nationally. Keur spent one season as an assistant at Eastern Michigan before moving to Michigan State.

As a player, Keur started 150 games for Michigan State and was a .315 career hitter. He was an All-Big Ten honoree as a junior as he led MSU to an NCAA Regional berth while leading the team in batting (.353), hits (89) and multi-hit games (31).

Keur graduated from Michigan State with a degree in advertising and played professionally for the Washington Wild Things in the independent Frontier League.

He was recently married to his wife, Jamie.
